Kuat Piston SR Roof 1 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Volkswagen Jetta- Video

Kuat Piston SR Roof 1 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Volkswagen Jetta

Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at how the Piston SR Roof-Mounted Bike Rack fits on the 2021 Volkswagen Jetta. So for your Volkswagen Jetta, it is a really nice car, especially this one, because you have that GLI and you're sporty, but your options for carrying around a bike is limited, unless you have a hitch receiver. So if you don't have a hitch receiver, then your options are a trunk mount or a roof-mounted bike rack. If possible, please get a roof-mounted bike rack instead of a trunk mount, just because it's not a hassle, it doesn't take up your trunk area, and you're not dealing with straps and hooks in contact with your vehicle. Now, this is the Piston SR, which is definitely the more premium of your roof-mounted bike racks. So a quick overview of roof-mounted bike racks is most of them require that you take the front wheel off, so they're fork-mounted bike racks, and those are cool too, but then you do take up more time having to reinstall your front wheel once you're ready to hit the trails. more

Malone Roof Bike Racks Review - 2013 Volkswagen Jetta

Zach: Hey, everybody. Zach 00:00:01 here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Malone Pilot on a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta. This is going to be a wheel mounted style bike rack. So we don't have to take our front wheel off like a fork mounted style, and we don't have any frame contact. So if we did have a carbon bike up here, we wouldn't have to worry about that. more

Now up at the front we have a locking skewer so that's going to protect your bike, it's also going to be for your fork mount as well. We can turn the handle one way or the other and it's going to loosen or tighten that skewer around your forks and when it's loose enough you can just pull your bike straight off and set it off to the side.
